Here are some questions that have been answered:
Q: Will there be a University visit?
A: Unfortunately not. Due to the current situation there will not be a University visit. The programme will be based in the Southend area.
Q: Can I be in a team with my friends?
A: Of course you can, just like before you will need to text or email me with your friends names and I will put you in a team together. You can request a maximum of 2 friends to be in a team together.
Q: Is there a cost to do the programme?
A: Nope no cost at all, it’s completely free! You will just need to provide yourself with lunch for the 2 weeks you are on programme with us.
Q: What will be actually be doing?
A: You’ll be meeting new people, learning new skills and challenging yourself. You will be taking part in workshops and team challenges as well as giving back to the local community. Any businesses or charities that have been effected by COVID-19 will need your help. You will be in discussion with them on how you and your team can help.
If you know any businesses or organisations within Southend that have been effected by COVID-19, please email me as we may be able to help!
Q: Can I take part next summer if I sign up to the alternative programme?
A: YES YOU CAN! Taking part this summer is an additional extra to taking part in the full programme next summer. As long as the government say it is fine, next summers programme will run as normal.
