The Laughter Academy was started by Lee Tearrell, who has performed improvisation for over 33 years, across America, Canada, Europe, India and all across the UK, along with Megan Tearrell, who has utilised her event management experience and training to lead front of house, talent management and all elements of pre/post production of our events. In addition as our education specialist she taught alongside us the Laughter Academy Light programme.

They were later joined by John Oakes, who has been doing Impro Comedy for 16 years and counting and has also played extensively across the UK, America and Canada. Both Lee and John have played with some awesome people along the way – including Eddie Izzard, Mark Thomas, Alan Davis, Jo Brand, Suki Webster, Lee Simpson, Tony Slattery, Russell Kane and many more!
