Garon Park CIC is located about 25minutes walk from the town centre and offers a wide range of sports facilities alongside a Health and Wellbeing Park. Wellbeing at Garon Park also offers a wide range of activities and services, volunteering and work experience opportunities.

Garon Park CIC is located on a beautiful 34 acre site consisting of sports fields and facilities and a Wellbeing park which can be hired by local organisations to support health and wellbeing.

Garon Park CIC has an all weather, flood lit, 3G pitch for football and netball, grass pitches and a fully maintained cricket field and nets. In addition, we are able to offer a beautiful and safe setting which includes: children’s play areas, community allotments, community orchard, dry gardens, a fully accessible wellness walk around the park with seating and points for relaxing and reflection. Our nature school area also includes a wildlife pond, natural habitats, a sensory garden, wilderness walk and various areas for reflection, engagement with nature and learning.

Garon Park offers a extensive volunteering and work experience programme enabling people to become more involved in their local community, learn new skills and increase their confidence which may be an end in itself or may be as part of their journey into work. For those seeking work we offer a Job Club every Wednesday morning and the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and a reference to support them into work. Garon Park has extensive contacts both with community groups and also local businesses to support individuals into paid employment and to gain the experience to support them on their journey.

Please contact the centre for more information about our gardening club and the many activities taking place on site by calling 01702 965959 or email enquiries@garonparkcic.com.

Specialist Support:

Garon Park CIC works with Welcome to the UK to offer work experience, volunteering and tailored support for families who are new to the UK. Our beautiful tranquil grounds offer a fantastic environment for those who have experienced trauma allowing them to use the park to refocus and prepare themselves for their new lives in the UK.

Garon Park is able to offer people to opportunity to practice their English in order to gain confidence by taking part in a range of different activities as it is uniquely able to offer opportunities in hospitality, horticulture, grounds maintenance, administration, conservation and customer service.

Our community gardens can be used by the local community to grow food which can then be shared with the community and we will soon be opening a food exchange where food items can be donated and collected. Cooking classes also enable people to learn new skills to help them feed themselves and their families in a more cost effective way.
