During the Summer holidays Southend FOOD Club will be running a range of activities alongside FOOD Club. All activities will be promoted via our Facebook page.
FOOD Clubs provide families with good-quality food at a low cost, while also reducing food waste. This summer we will run Holiday Hub Brunch Club alongside the clubs, with family friendly activities and tasty foods on offer.

The ever popular Music in the Park returns to Priory Park bandstand. The bandstand will come alive with top local bands and musicians! Don’t miss out! This free event runs every weekend and bank holiday Monday from Sunday 17 April until Sunday 25 September.

Inflatable Family Fun Day

Ellis leisure are yet again hosting an inflatable fun day for children of all ages to come and enjoy themselves at Chalkwell Park.
There will be a range of inflatable fun for all! You can expect to see up to 70ft Assault Course, Large interactive bouncy castles, GIANT mega slides, gladiator duels for those feisty few! Football arena and football Darts and much more!

Anglo-Saxon Weekend
Saturday 30 – Sunday 31 July 2022 from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
Priory Park
Join Southend Museums and explore the daily life of the Anglo-Saxons at a living history camp. Have the chance to witness a battle re-enactment & have a go yourself, take part in Anglo-Saxon themed crafts and activities, and get hands on with archaeological excavation!

Kaleidoscope Craft Workshop

Shoebury Library
To kick off the annual Summer Reading Challenge* at Southend libraries, we’ll be hosting a free drop-in workshop for children to make their own kaleidoscopes under this year’s theme of ‘Gadgeteers’!
Places will be limited, so please book your free place via the welcome desk at Shoeburyness library. The workshop will run from 2:30-3:30pm. All materials will be supplied.

Feel Good Festival Southend 2022

The Feel Good Festival Southend-On-Sea returns on Friday 19th August, 11am to 5pm at Garon Park. This year’s festival will be bigger and better than ever and will showcase the much-loved feel good zones delivered by Everyone Health.
The FREE to enter Feel Good Festival is set to be the highlight of this year’s calendar and will offer something for all the family. You will find smoothie bikes where you can challenge yourself to make a smoothie while peddling a bike, you could have a go at Archery or Zorbing. There will be food tasting sessions, arts and crafts, yoga classes and even prizes to be won!

Visit the Vulcan Classic Jets Day

See former Royal Air Force bomber Avro Vulcan XL426 up close at our Visit the Vulcan Classic Jets Day. You can walk round Vulcan XL426 and for an additional fee you can climb inside for a guided tour of the Vulcan’s cockpit.
XL426 will be joined by the cockpits of classic jets from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s that are preserved by enthusiasts from around the country. Details of these and other displays are to be announced – watch this space!

Youth Services for under 18s
Every Tuesday to Friday weekly.
The Youth Hub is a community space that will provide a safe place to young people. We aim to create an environment that is open and non judgemental, working in a person centred approach. We aim to provide an environment to support and encourage young people to make positive choices.
The project supports young people to improve their wellbeing, develops young people’s confidence through positive relationships and mentoring as well as going on youth hub activities and trips.
